  • 2 cups Rice White or brown; both work well
  • 1 medium Avocado For creaminess and healthy fats
  • 1 medium Cucumber For freshness
  • 1 cup Carrots Cut into thin strips

Sauce and Garnishes

  • 1/3 cup Spicy mayo Mix of mayonnaise and hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce For umami flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Honey or maple syrup To balance flavors
  • 2 tablespoons Lime juice For acidity
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds Optional garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Green onions Optional garnish

Preparation

  • Cook the rice according to package instructions and set it aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, stir together soy sauce, honey, and lime juice until well combined.
  • Coat the salmon fillets in the glaze, ensuring they are fully covered.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the salmon for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
  • While the salmon is cooking, slice the avocado, cucumber, and carrots into thin strips.

Assembly

  • Scoop a generous serving of rice into each bowl.
  • Top the rice with glazed salmon and arrange the avocado, cucumber, and carrots around it.
  • Drizzle everything with spicy mayo and sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions on top if desired.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, ensure the salmon is well-coated and let it cook undisturbed initially for a great sear. Adjust the hot sauce in spicy mayo to desired spiciness.
