Ingredients
  

Main ingredients

  • 12 oz Dried spaghetti Any brand will do.
  • 1/2 cup Extra virgin olive oil Use good quality for the best flavor.
  • 6 cloves Fresh garlic, sliced Freshly sliced is essential.
  • 1 tsp Red chili flakes Adjust to heat preference.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.
  • 1 tsp Salt For seasoning.
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated Optional topping.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve some pasta water.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

Cooking

  • Add sliced garlic and red chili flakes to the skillet, sauté until garlic is golden brown.
  • Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil. If too dry, add reserved pasta water a bit at a time.
  • Remove from heat, stir in chopped parsley, and season with salt. Grate parmesan cheese over the top if desired.

Serving

  • Serve immediately, with an extra sprinkle of chili flakes if desired.

Notes

To store leftovers, keep in an airtight container in the fridge for about 3 days. Reheat with a splash of water or olive oil. Consider adding veggies like spinach or cherry tomatoes for a nutritious boost.
