Instructions

Preparation

Cooking the Rice

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add rice, scrambled eggs, diced carrots, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, and a dash of black pepper.
  • Stir-fry until hot, about 5-7 minutes, creating crispy bits.

Cooking the Chicken

  • In a separate skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of oil for the chicken.
  • Add chicken pieces, seasoning with garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
  • Cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of butter, minced garlic, and soy sauce, stirring to coat.

Searing the Steak

  • In another skillet, heat oil and add sirloin pieces, seasoning with black pepper and salt.
  • Cook until browned, about 4-5 minutes.
  • Add butter, minced garlic, and soy sauce just before removing from heat.

Stir-Frying the Vegetables

  • In the skillet used for chicken and steak, melt another tablespoon of butter.
  • Add sliced onion, chopped zucchini, and shredded carrots, seasoning with soy sauce, salt, and black pepper.
  • Cook until tender-crisp, about 3-4 minutes.

Combining Ingredients

  • In a large serving dish, layer the fried rice, sautéed veggies, and top with chicken and steak.

Notes

For best results, use day-old rice and avoid overcrowding the pan when frying. Enjoy with a refreshing drink or salad.
