Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather your ingredients. Rinse and chop as needed.
  • Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  • Stir in diced bell pepper and shredded carrot. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
  • Pour in soy sauce and hoisin sauce, season with salt and pepper, and mix well.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • Spoon the turkey mixture into lettuce leaves and garnish with green onions, cilantro, and sesame seeds.

Notes

Chill the lettuce before serving for extra crunch. Taste and adjust seasonings to your preference. Ground chicken or crumbled tofu can be used as substitutions.
