Ingredients
  

For the Pasta

  • 12 oz twisted pasta (such as rotini or fusilli) Twisted pasta holds onto the sauce well.

For the Chicken

  • 2 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips Season well before cooking.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil Used for cooking the chicken.
  • 4 tbsp butter, divided Add to sauce for creaminess.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic enhances flavor.
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning Adds depth to the dish.
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes Optional, for added spice.

For the Sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream Gives the sauce its creamy texture.
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth Adds flavor to the sauce.
  • 1 1/2 cups grated parmesan cheese Essential for creaminess and flavor.
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese For an extra creamy sauce.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Provides that gooey texture.
  • Fresh parsley chopped for garnishing Adds freshness and color.

Instructions
 

Cooking the Pasta

  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the twisted pasta until al dente according to the package instructions. Drain and reserve some pasta water.

Preparing the Chicken

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken strips and cook for 5-6 minutes until browned.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, melt 2 tbsp of butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until aromatic.
  • Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir well and allow the sauce to simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add parmesan, cream cheese, and mozzarella, stirring until melted and smooth. Use reserved pasta water to adjust consistency if needed.

Combining the Dish

  • Toss the cooked chicken and pasta into the cheesy sauce, mixing well. Simmer together for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh ingredients and avoid overcooking the chicken. This dish can also be stored in the fridge for about 3–4 days and reheated with a splash of water to restore creaminess.
