  • 1/2 cup milk Can substitute with almond milk for a dairy-free option.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper Be cautious with the salt as the soup can be salty.

Topping

  • 1 bag frozen tater tots The star of the show, adds crunch.
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or blend) Sharp cheddar is recommended for flavor.
  • Optional Chopped green onions For garnish.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, milk, and a good sprinkle of salt and pepper. Mix well.
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and layer the chicken mixture evenly at the bottom.

Assembly

  • Arrange the frozen tater tots evenly over the chicken mixture.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese generously over the top.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Let it cool slightly before serving and garnish with chopped green onions if desired.

Notes
