Service Characteristics
- Temporary Nature: All email addresses and messages are automatically deleted after 10 minutes

- Limited Functionality: The service is designed for receiving emails only; sending emails is not supported
- No Guarantees: Email delivery, availability, and functionality are provided on an "as-is" basis
Important: TempMail is intended for casual use, protecting your primary inbox from spam, and temporary registrations. It should NOT be used for sensitive communications, banking, medical records, legal documents, or any purpose requiring long-term email storage.
3. User Obligations
As a user of TempMail, you agree to:
- Use Lawfully: Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Respect Others: Not use the Service in any way that could harm, disable, overburden, or impair our servers or networks
- No Automation Abuse: Not use automated systems (bots, scripts, scrapers) to access the Service in ways that send more requests than a human could reasonably make
- Accept Responsibility: Take full responsibility for any content you receive or actions you take using temporary email addresses
- Understand Limitations: Acknowledge that emails are temporary and will be deleted after 10 minutes
- No Circumvention: Not attempt to circumvent any security features or access restrictions
Your Responsibility for Content
You are solely responsible for:
- Any emails you receive at your temporary address
- How you use temporary email addresses on third-party websites
- Saving any important information before the 10-minute expiration
- Ensuring you comply with the terms of service of websites where you use temporary addresses
4. Prohibited Uses
You are expressly prohibited from using TempMail for:
Illegal Activities
- Any illegal purpose or activity under applicable local, state, national, or international law
- Fraud, phishing, identity theft, or impersonation
- Distributing malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Harassment, threats, or abuse of others
- Copyright infringement or intellectual property violations
Abusive Behavior
- Creating excessive numbers of temporary email addresses to overwhelm our systems
- Using the Service to spam other websites or services
- Attempting to bypass rate limits or security measures
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling our Service
- Scraping or data mining without authorization
Sensitive Purposes

- Legal proceedings or official government communications
- Employment verification or official business communications
- Any purpose requiring long-term email storage or legally binding communications
Violation of Third-Party Terms
- Using temporary emails to violate other websites' terms of service
- Creating multiple accounts where prohibited by the service provider
- Bypassing age verification or access restrictions
Violation of these prohibited uses may result in immediate termination of access, reporting to law enforcement, and legal action where applicable.
5. Third-Party Services & API Usage
Mail.tm API Integration
TempMail utilizes the Mail.tm API as our email service provider. By using TempMail, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Third-Party Service: Mail.tm is an independent third-party service with its own terms of service and privacy policy
- No Control: We do not control Mail.tm's infrastructure, uptime, or policies
- Their Terms Apply: You are subject to Mail.tm's terms of service when using TempMail
- Service Changes: Mail.tm may modify or discontinue their service at any time, which may affect TempMail's functionality
External Email Senders
When you use a temporary email address on third-party websites:
- No Responsibility: We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or legality of emails sent to your temporary address
- Third-Party Content: Emails you receive come from external sources and may contain third-party content, links, or attachments
- Malicious Content: We do not screen emails for malware, phishing, or other threats. Exercise caution with links and attachments
- No Endorsement: Displaying emails does not constitute our endorsement of their content or senders
Other Third-Party Services
TempMail may integrate with other third-party services including:
- Google Fonts: For displaying the Inter font family
- Tailwind CSS CDN: For styling and layout
- AdSense (if applicable): For displaying advertisements
Each third-party service has its own terms and privacy policies, which you should review.
Disclaimer: We are not liable for any issues, damages, or losses arising from third-party services, including Mail.tm, external email senders, or other integrated services.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
All content, features, and functionality of TempMail, including but not limited to:
- Website design, layout, and user interface
- TempMail logo, branding, and trademarks
- Software code, scripts, and algorithms
- Text, graphics, and visual elements
- Compilation and arrangement of content
are owned by TempMail or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Limited License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
- Access and use TempMail for personal, non-commercial purposes
- View and temporarily store pages from the website for your own use
Restrictions
You may NOT:
- Reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our Service
- Use our trademarks, logos, or branding without written permission
- Frame or mirror any part of the Service
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

- Quality: We do not warrant that the Service will be free from bugs, viruses, or other harmful components
Specific Service Disclaimers

- Data Retention: Emails and addresses are automatically deleted after 10 minutes—we cannot recover them

- Actions taken by third-party services (including Mail.tm)
- Malware, viruses, or security threats in received emails
- Service interruptions, downtime, or unavailability
- Unauthorized access to or use of our servers
- Errors, bugs, or inaccuracies in the Service
- Your use of the Service in violation of these Terms
Maximum Liability Cap
In any event, our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed $10 USD or the amount you paid to us in the past 12 months (whichever is greater). Since TempMail is a free service, this means our maximum liability is $10 USD.
Legal Note: Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages. In such cases, our liability will be limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TempMail, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and partners from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms & Conditions
- Your violation of any third-party rights, including privacy rights or intellectual property rights
- Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
- Any content received at your temporary email addresses
- Your use of temporary email addresses on third-party websites
- Any fraudulent, illegal, or harmful activities conducted using our Service
This indemnification obligation will survive termination of these Terms and your use of the Service.
10. Termination
Termination by You
You may stop using the Service at any time. Simply close your browser and cease accessing TempMail. Since we don't maintain accounts, no formal cancellation is required.
Termination by Us
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Violation of these Terms & Conditions
- Illegal activity or suspected fraud
- Abusive behavior or excessive use that impacts service quality
- Attempts to harm, attack, or compromise our systems
- Any other reason at our sole discretion
Effects of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service immediately ceases
- We may block your access through IP blocking or other technical means
- Any temporary email addresses you created will be deleted per our standard policy
- Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive (disclaimers, limitations, indemnification) will remain in effect
11. Changes to Terms & Conditions
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. When we make changes:
- Notice: We will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page
- Material Changes: For significant changes, we will provide prominent notice on our homepage or through other communication channels
- Review Period: We may provide a reasonable period before new terms take effect

Class Action Waiver
You agree to bring claims against us only in your individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative action. Class arbitrations, class actions, private attorney general actions, and consolidation with other arbitrations are not permitted.
13. Miscellaneous Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TempMail regarding use of the Service
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights
- Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights to any affiliate or successor without restriction
- No Partnership: These Terms do not create any agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship between you and TempMail
- Force Majeure: We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control
- Headings: Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect the interpretation of these Terms
